So at this point in the app, the user has successfully navigated the Earn mode, watching ads and accumulating a few dollars to purchase a TV episode or two. Great! The hard part is over. Now it's time for the user to sit back and enjoy their chosen content with a clean, user-friendly playback experience. The design goal here was straightforward: there was no need to reinvent the wheel when it came to the playback experience. There are already many well-established design patterns that work perfectly well, which provided excellent guidance for this task. I focused on creating a clean and simple UI design that would be effective across multiple platforms, whether on a computer or a 60" TV with a remote. Designing for TV presented its own unique challenges, primarily due to the limited functionality of remote controls. The key was to ensure that the interface remained intuitive and accessible, even with the constraints of a remote. The clean, minimalist design prioritizes ease of use, ensuring that users can effortlessly navigate through their playback options. By leveraging established design principles, the focus remains on enhancing the viewing experience rather than complicating it. This approach ensures that the interface is not only visually appealing but also functional and user-centric.
