Craig Witte draws inspiration from Robert Rauschenberg’s pioneering concept of the “Combine,” a term coined to describe works that fuse painting and sculpture into a single expressive form. Rauschenberg’s approach challenged traditional boundaries, blending two dimensional and three-dimensional elements to create dynamic, layered compositions.

In that spirit, Witte has developed his own digital interpretation of the Combine. His process incorporates photographs, textures sourced from everyday objects, a diverse range of digital brushes, and intricate patterns. These elements converge to form cross medium creations that invite viewers into a world of rich texture, depth, and visual intrigue.
